Tags & Leaderboard
The tag system is the heart of competitive disc golf tracking. Each registered player holds a numbered tag. Beat another player in a round and you take their tag — the lower the number, the better.
Claiming a tag
Requires: Player role
/claimtag <tag> Claim a specific tag number (1–100). If that tag is already held by another player, you’ll need to beat them in a round to take it. Tags you claim without a challenge are yours immediately.
Example:
/claimtag 7 The leaderboard
The leaderboard is visible in the web dashboard and updates in real time. It shows:
- Current tag holders ranked by tag number
- Recent movement (up/down)
- Season standings
The leaderboard channel in Discord also shows a summary embed that updates automatically after each finalized round.
Seasons
Seasons let you track competitive periods with a defined start and end. During an active season, finalized rounds award points in addition to tag changes. Off-season, tag challenges still happen but no points are awarded.
During active seasons, tied finishers do not earn points for beating each other, but tied players can still end with different point totals when tier/provisional matchup modifiers differ. This rewards lower-tier players for matching or outperforming higher tiers.
| Season state | Tag changes | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Active season | Yes | Yes — see Points System |
| Off-season | Yes | No |

/season standingsshows a ranked points leaderboard - Off-season → leaderboard shows tag numbers only
Season standings are separate from the all-time tag leaderboard.
Viewing standings
/season standings [season_id] Shows the leaderboard for the current season. Pass a specific season_id to view a past season.
