Betting
Betting lets you put your season points where your mouth is. Predict round outcomes — who wins, who places, whether someone goes over or under their expected score — and collect if you’re right.
Overview
- Betting is a seasonal prediction market on round outcomes — no separate currency, no real money
- You get a separate betting wallet that mirrors your season points as a starting balance — your actual season standing is never touched
- Wins and losses only affect your betting wallet, not your leaderboard position
- Everything is per-club, per-season; your wallet resets when a new season starts
- Betting must be enabled for your club by an admin before you can access it
Accessing Betting
- Discord: use the
/betcommand to get an ephemeral link directly to the betting page - PWA: “Betting” appears in the navbar when it’s enabled for your club
- If betting is frozen or disabled for your club, you’ll see a banner explaining why instead of the usual interface
Your Wallet
Three cards show your current financial picture:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Available | Points you can bet right now — your mirror balance minus any reserved stakes |
| Season Mirror | A snapshot of your current season standing, used as the starting balance for your betting wallet |
| Ledger Delta | Net change from bet wins, losses, and any admin adjustments — only affects your betting wallet |
Reserved points are locked in bets that haven’t settled yet. They’re yours — just not available for new bets until the market resolves.
Wallet values update automatically when markets settle or your season standing changes.
Market Types
When a round has enough opted-in players, up to five markets are generated automatically. You’ll see them as tabs on the betting page.
Round Winner
Pick who finishes first. One winner (or multiple if tied). This is the only market where you can bet on yourself.
2nd Place
Pick who finishes exactly second. Available when a round has 3 or more players.
3rd Place
Pick who finishes exactly third. Available when a round has 4 or more players.
Last Place
Pick who finishes dead last. Available when a round has 3 or more players. Ties count — if two players share the worst score, both are winners for this market.
Score Over/Under
Each player gets a personal score line based on their recent performance. Pick whether a player will score over or under that line. If the actual score lands exactly on the line, under wins.
Note: You cannot bet on yourself in placement or over/under markets. Your own options will appear greyed out. Winner markets are unrestricted — feel free to back yourself.
Odds
Odds reflect each player’s recent form heading into the round. A heavy favourite pays out less; an underdog pays more.
- Winner and placement: odds are based on simulated outcomes using each player’s historical performance
- Over/under: the score line is each player’s expected score based on recent rounds, and the odds reflect the probability of going over or under that number
All odds are displayed as decimal odds (e.g., 2.50 means a 100-point stake returns 250 points on a win).
Placing a Bet
- Select a market tab (Winner, Placement, or Score O/U)
- For placement, choose which position (2nd, 3rd, or Last)
- Pick your selection from the available options
- Enter your stake — minimum 1 point, maximum your available balance
- Review the potential return shown (stake × odds)
- Click Place Bet
Your stake is reserved immediately. You’ll see a confirmation and your wallet balance updates on the spot.
Results & Payouts
Markets settle automatically when a round is finalized.
- Win: you receive
stake × oddscredited to your wallet - Loss: your reserved stake is consumed — no refund
- Void: if a market is voided (e.g., the round is deleted), your full stake is refunded automatically
- DNF: if the player you bet on doesn’t finish, your bet is voided and your stake is refunded
Every credit and debit appears as a line item in your Wallet Journal, accessible from the betting page.
Settings
At the bottom of the betting page you’ll find one preference:
Targeting preference — opt out if you’d rather not be a betting target for other players. You can still place bets yourself regardless of this setting. Other players just won’t see you as an option in any market.
Access States
| State | What you can do |

Note: Access is set at the club level by admins. If your club’s betting is frozen or disabled, talk to your club admin.
